Reserve Parachutes

Your reserve is the last line of defence. Skywalk's reserve range covers everyday XC pilots through to ultralight hike & fly setups.

Important: Reserve parachutes must be correctly sized for your all-up weight, packed by a qualified rigger, and repacked every 6–12 months. Get in touch and we'll help you choose the right reserve and connect you with a qualified rigger in South Africa.

Skywalk Salsa

The Salsa is Skywalk's all-round rescue parachute. Round design, reliable deployment, and a stable descent make it the trusted choice for everyday XC pilots. Available in multiple sizes to match pilot weight.

Skywalk TAPA X-Alps

The TAPA X-Alps is Skywalk's ultralight rescue for hike & fly pilots. Minimum pack volume, minimum weight, fast opening, and stable descent. When every gram matters and the mountains demand a reserve you can trust.

Skywalk Pepper Cross Light

The Pepper Cross Light is Skywalk's lightweight cross-braced reserve. Fast opening, stable descent, and a more controlled sink rate than a standard round. For pilots who want the performance of a cross-braced design in a lightweight package.

Reserve Repacking

When did you last repack yours?

SAHPA and most international standards recommend repacking your reserve every 6–12 months, even if it hasn't been deployed. Moisture, compression set, and UV exposure all affect your reserve's deployment reliability over time.

If you're not sure when your reserve was last packed, or if you need a referral to a qualified rigger in South Africa, get in touch. This is not something to leave to chance.
